A late arrival at Narita deferred our train journey from Saturday night to Sunday morning. Though it meant arriving at our destination of Sonobe much later, we were able to enjoy the view of Mount Fuji on the way to Kyoto.
Luckily Kyoto lockers were bigger than Tokyo lockers and I was able to stash my suitcase for the day and roam around Kyoto. Despite being winter it was sunny, beautiful and good for a beer on the river bank.
